The Business
A well established family business in the fresh produce industry, they have multiple sites across the country and want you to oversee an area of the Supply Chain across 2 of those sites.
The Role
You will play a vital role within the business, managing, organising, and leading all activities within the Despatch area of the factory.
About you
- Previous experience of warehouse management
- Previous experience of managing a team within a food manufacturing environment
- Forklift licence
- IT literate
- Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement
- Self-motivated & enthusiastic
- Able to manage time and work under pressure to tight deadlines

Duties to include:
- Daily tray stock checks
- Hiring and de-hiring of trays
- Liaising with haulers to arrange any specials, or delay collections as required by Production
- Investigating and providing evidence as required for incorrect deliveries
- Attending weekly meeting with Planning to confirm any uplift in forecast requiring extra trays
- Co-ordinating peak volumes to the freezer and returning product to site as required by Planning
- Management of the Despatch team to ensure consistency within ways of working
- Co-ordinating successful shift handovers
- Ensuring the working area is as per required GMP standard - always audit ready
- H&S within the department and co-operating with the rest of the factory
