Supply Chain Manager role with a growing manufacturer based in Scunthorpe. With continued year on year growth the business is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to head up their Purchasing, Planning and Inventory functions to support further expansion plans for 2024 and beyond.

My client is a highly successful UK based manufacturer who are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their Scunthorpe site.

With an exceptional range of products supplied to a large customer base, this business is looking for an ambitious, driven and detail focussed Supply Chain Manager to add to their growing senior leadership team.

Description

Reporting directly into the Site Director, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for all material management including purchasing, planning, logistics and inventory.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Leading on all procurement and logistics activities at a strategic and tactical level, including business development and people management
• Overseeing projects and relevant KPIs, creating and developing additional indicators as required
• Leading on continuous improvement activities and work collaboratively with other departments such as Operations, Engineering, Finance, IT, etc.
• Acting as a key liaison with both customers and suppliers
• Supporting the COO, CFO and OD with creating and maintaining company culture

Profile

Successful candidates will have a strong manufacturing background and a good understanding of Supply Chain management.

You will also possess:

• A solution-orientated mindset with a high sense of quality and attention to detail
• Experience with SME organisational changes and CI efforts
• Proven experience of implementing and improving KPIs
• Strong negotiation skills at a senior level
• Good organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with ERP or procurement/Supply Chain software
