Position: Forecast and Demand Planner

Responsibilities:

  • Generate accurate forecasts and engage proactively with customers to understand their evolving needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Services team to align production plans with the order book, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Strategically plan for demand and capacity, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing processes and systems to streamline information flow and increase operational efficiency.
  • Take ownership of setting and managing optimal stock levels to minimize excess inventory while meeting demand fluctuations.
  • Efficiently order materials, maintaining an optimal balance between inventory levels and production requirements.

Experience and Education:

  • Experience in demand and capacity planning, forecasting, customer liaison, and process improvement.
  • A qualification in Supply Chain management, business administration, logistics, or related fields preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience considered in lieu of formal education.

Characteristics:

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain management principles.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software.
  • Capacity and Supply Chain planning expertise.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Six Sigma green belt certification.
  • Experience with demand planning software.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
