Job Title: Supply Chain Planning Manager
Location: Coalville, Leicestershire
Contract: Temporary, Opportunity to go permanent
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000
The Procurement and Supply Chain Division at SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain / Planning Manager to join their client on a full-time basis. This opportunity is starting as a Temporary position with the opportunity to progress into a permanent role for the right person.
As a Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will play a key part in the managerial team and be responsible for supporting with the smooth daily operations of the procurement and distribution functions.
Your daily responsibilities could include:
- Ensure product and material stock levels are at efficient levels for production to run smoothly, meet customer demand and avoid delays.
- Liaising closely with suppliers, vendors and hauliers to manage lead times and have control over inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Carrying out regular stock taking activities.
- Forecasting for product demand and inventory levels.
- Reviewing and investigating material shortages / risk issues and problem solving ahead of time.
- Providing assistance, coaching and upskilling support to the onsite Supply Chain team.
- Liaising and working closely alongside Sales, Procurement and Operations.
The successful Supply Chain Planning Manager will ideally have experience working in a similar role as listed above and have experience at working at either a senior or managerial level.
Other key skills and experiences required:
- Material planning and forecasting.
- Highly organised and can work to tight deadlines.
- Adaptable when working under pressure.
- Excellent communication both verbal and written.
- Ability to identify issues and problem solving.
- An approachable manager and leader.
- IT Literate - experience using MRP or ERP systems.
