Supply Chain Planning Manager

The Supply Chain Planning Manager plays a critical role in managing and forecasting product demand to ensure optimal inventory levels, meeting customer needs, and maximizing operational efficiency within the Supply chain. This role involves analysing market trends, historical data, and customer demands to create accurate forecasts for future product requirements.

Key Tasks and Duties:

• Demand Forecasting: Utilize statistical models, market analysis, and historical data to forecast product demand accurately.
• Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather information and insights to refine demand forecasts.
• Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels by aligning demand forecasts with Supply chain capabilities, ensuring stock availability without overstocking.
• Data Analysis: Analyse demand patterns, market trends, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
• Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement demand planning strategies to enhance overall Supply chain efficiency and responsiveness.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and improve demand forecasting processes and methodologies to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Communication: Communicate demand forecasts and insights to stakeholders, including upper management, to support decision-making processes.

Role Requirements:

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Supply chain management, logistics, business, statistics or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications is often preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in Supply chain management, demand planning, or a related field.
• Proven track record in demand forecasting, inventory management, and data analysis.
• Experience with demand planning software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
