Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Security Officer to join Assystem. The successful candidate will provide the relevant assurance of Cyber Security and Information Assurance within their assigned projects areas and across the Supply Chain and is therefore, responsible for providing the relevant information in fulfilling our obligations in relation to Cyber Security for Defence Suppliers and DEFCON 658 (Cyber) and Compliance against our Client issued Security Aspects Letters (SALs).

These activities could include, but would also not be limited to;

  • Liaising with the project and commercial teams regularly in relation to Cyber security, understanding the current and future demands;
  • Conducting assurance checks on suppliers against their responses in the Supplier Assurance Questionnaires (SAQs);
  • Assessing the projects compliance with any flow down requirements where they may have sub contracted elements of work;
  • Monitoring of Cyber Implementation Plans (CIP) where the supplier has not met the threshold of the assigned Cyber Risk Profile for the information being released;
  • Spot checks of suppliers who are fully compliant with all the requirements to ensure they are undertaking what they state they are undertaking and can evidence this;
  • Advising and supporting projects on their development of Supply Chain Security Aspects Letters (SALs);
  • Advising projects on any shortfall in relation to their compliance in relation to client SAL requirements;

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of DefStan 05-138 and wider defence related regulations applicable to the contracts
  • Understanding/Knowledge of Security Aspects Letters and their purpose
  • Literate in IT applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Use of initiative and ability to work with no supervision
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own work
  • Works well within a team
  • Excellent Customer service, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Previous relevant experience in an Information Assurance/Security/Legal or Supply Chain role within the Defence, or similar regulated industry.
  • Experienced in Information Risk Management Processes
  • Compliance driven
  • Regulation and Governance interpretation
  • Good awareness/knowledge in relation to ICT systems and their operation

Security clearance:

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
