Our Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships offer you an opportunity to develop your skills in a specific field, gain qualifications aligned to that area and work in a commercial team that will support you as you continue to develop your understanding and expertise. You will graduate from your programme with industry skills and recognised formal qualifications. You will be paid an hourly rate and will qualify for the usual perks of being an Amazonian.
Join us on our 15-month Supply Chain Apprenticeship scheme where you will perform in the key role of an operations associate, providing critical support in delivering to local communities and our loyal customers. The apprenticeship will enable you to grow your skills-set in crucial areas; it will broaden your knowledge of the transport and logistics industry whilst developing your competence in topics such as continuous improvement, communication and team working.
Over the course of the apprenticeship you will work towards the Supply ChainWarehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship certificate and have opportunity to undertake functional skills qualifications for English and Maths. No prior qualification are needed to apply for this apprenticeship scheme.
You will build your skills over a 15-month period through:
•    Attending a series of group tutor-led virtual classrooms
•    Self-directed learning, including, but not limited to written assignments and recording learning activity  
•    Functional Skills tutor-led classrooms (English and Maths), if you do not already have the required qualifications
•    Work-place development activities including research, shadowing and applying learning into your job role
•    Regular support provided from a dedicated tutor assigned by our training provider
•    Quarterly progress reviews with your line manager & tutor
Eligibility Criteria
For the apprenticeship program we prioritize applicants eligible for apprenticeship funding so you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Ukraine for the last 3 years
- Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program (15 months, until at least end of Oct 2025)
- Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending May 2024 or later

You are willing to make consistent progress towards your apprenticeship, completing and submitting apprenticeship related activities on time and with good quality
The Recruitment Process
1. Your recruitment process will start with your online application.
2. Those candidates we wish to progress, will be invited to book a suitable slot for a 1:1 virtual interview with one of our Amazon team.
3. If successful, at interview, you will then enter the final stage and undertake an online assessment in English and Maths which will be emailed to you by our external training provider.
4. There are limited number of apprenticeship places, for sites that are oversubscribed with applicants’, successful candidates will be decided based on interview & online assessment scores. Successful applicants will start this apprenticeship in June 2024.
