Office location: Hemel Hempstead with an option for hybrid working after training period (2 days in the office, 3 from home)
Hours: Monday-Friday. 37.5 hours with start time to best suit you
Rota share of 1 weekend in 13 and bank holiday with time off in lieu (can be worked from home)
Purpose of the role: As a Supply Planner here you will be part of a large team who collectively manage demand and supply planning for a FMCG business in the UK and Ireland, with ownership of a specific geographic territory. Your work may also include periodic travel to your customer sites too.
This immediate position is available on a 12 month contract basis initially. This creates an amazing opportunity to showcase your capability at this leading organisation with scope to consider future internal roles later on.
As our ideal person for this Supply Planner position:
You will have previous experience in a supply chain / logistics function with an understanding of replenishment and forecasting process.
You should be available to start this 12 month contract in March/April please.
More about your role as a Supply Planner at this organisation:
- Manage demand and supply planning for a wide range of restaurant related consumables
- Close monitoring of order system and data integrity with prompt investigation on deviations against KPI and amendments to ensure rolling forecast accuracy
- Ensuring planning models, forecasting, ordering parameters and stock projections are sufficiently accurate to ensure efficiency, and plan for peak trading times
- Investigating stock and delivery queries within agreed SLA periods
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with end line customers. Educating on best use of order platform to ensure smooth delivery of stock and efficiency
- Support on projects and participate in team work groups
- Feel able to contribute ideas towards continuous improvement of the supply function
Skills/Experience Required:
- Experience within a similar supply planning role
- Ability to manage the operations within supply chain from end to end
- Forecasting and reporting experience
- Ideally, experience within a FMCG/retail/food environment
- Advanced skills within Excel and prior use of stock management systems
- Highly numerical and analytical
- Excellent communication skills
