Primary Teaching Assistant (Wakefield)
Accelerate Teaching is delighted to announce that an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant (TA) that has a real passion for making a difference to work with one of our partner Primary Schools in the Wakefield district, on a full-time basis. We are particularly looking for a TA who has a real passion for primary education and that can bring a creative flare to the classroom to bring a new dynamic to lessons and school life. This role will take you on a journey with the school and be a part of their rapid improvement plan to implement an exceptional and inclusive education for all pupils.
This TA role at a primary school in Wakefield is full time, starting after the Easter break and continue until July 2024 with the possibility of this extending into the new academic year (from September 2024).

Your role will involve:
- Supporting the teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of the students.
- As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide valuable assistance in the day-to-day running of the classroom.
- Assisting with the implementation of effective behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
- Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help, ensuring their progress and well-being.
- Encouraging active participation and fostering a love for learning among the students.
- Collaborating with the teaching team to create and maintain an organized and stimulating classroom environment.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Relevant experience working with primary-aged children in an educational setting.
- Possession of a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
