Supported Accommodation Project Manager
Location: 12 Thomas Street, Dungannon, BT70 1HN
Salary: £36,885.94 pro rata with opportunities to increase to £38,742.34 pro rata (based on a 35 hour week)
Contract: Permanent
Work hours: 25 hours per week on 7 day rota

Belfast Central Mission (BCM) is an award-winning leading charity with social care projects and social enterprises across Northern Ireland. With over 300 staff and volunteers delivering services across Northern Ireland to support people at their point of need.

Our supported housing service works with young people from 16-21 years of age for up to two years. The young people will live in flats/shared accommodation and may present some complex needs and challenging behaviour; some young people may have problems with drugs, alcohol or they may have been in trouble with the police.

Additionally, some young people may arrive at our projects with a complex history which can include self-harm, trauma, isolation, poverty, difficulty in forming relationships / trust.

Your new role
You will oversee the daily operations of the supported accommodation project ensuring a safe and supportive environment, managing staff, coordinating care plans, and liaising with healthcare providers.

You will also handle administrative tasks like budgeting, compliance with regulations, and maintenance of the premises. Additionally, you will work to foster a community atmosphere, addressing residents' needs and promoting their independence and well-being. Effective communication, empathy, and organizational skills are essential to successfully fulfilling these multifaceted duties.

What we need from you
  • QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent plus five years’ relevant experience in a care setting providing support/services to young people in the 16-25 year age group.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and managing, the day-to-day operation of a project with a range of young people with complex needs.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a staff team to include recruitment, learning and development; performance appraisal & supervision and employee relations.
  • Possess a full valid UK driving license and access to a car with class 1 business/car insurance to be able to transport service users. OR can demonstrate mobility to carry out the functions of the job.
