About the Team

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to come and work in the Warwickshire Resilience Forum (WRF) Secretariat team. The team provide the administration, facilitation and management in the Forum. The Forum consists of representatives from agencies, including Emergency Services, Utility companies, Government agencies and Councils who jointly plan for response to major incidents such as severe weather or major fires.

 

The partnership working will be diverse, interesting and stimulating – the Secretariat Team do not work for any ‘one’ specific organisation, but for the good of the collective.

 

 

About the Role

 

The post holder will be the first point of contact into the Secretariat Team, first impressions count and excellent communication skills are very important. The post holder is expected to:

 

  • provide administration and support
  • organise meetings and make notes/minutes of meetings and workshops
  • ensure actions are followed through
  • respond to queries from partners and other agencies

 

A key element of the role will be to provide support to training and exercising activities, this will include:

 

  • finding and booking appropriate venues
  • ordering refreshments
  • managing delegate bookings and communicating to delegates and facilitators

 

You will gain skills of working in a multi-agency dynamic setting. Your post will be hosted be Warwickshire County Council and you will have access to all the benefits.

 

You will need to be able to work from home regularly but with an ability to work from other locations such as Shire Hall in Warwick, and other locations around the County (for example: when attending face to face workshops) in order to complete the requirements of the job.

 

 

Key Requirements

 

  • To hold an NVQ level 2 in Business Adminstration or equivalent or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.
  • Able and willing to travel to different work locations within the WLRF area and wider area on occasion as the work requires.
  • Demonstrate experience of: arranging meetings; attending meetings; taking and processing minutes and distributing for approval.
