Position: Support Manager
Location: Luton (LU1)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £29,234.01 per annum

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated person to work with the Operations Manager in leading and directly line managing a support team in Luton to deliver the highest quality of support that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the individuals who draw on it.
You will lead as an exemplary role model to achieve outstanding, personalised support, ensuring our customers are at heart of all we do, and their needs are met. Ensuring your team feel valued and supported, providing them with a full understanding of what is expected of them and giving them the skills and tools to undertake their role to the best of their abilities.
Success in this role means that individuals get the highest quality support and live their best lives.
About the candidate:
- Able to manage across services and work alongside other Support Managers and Operations Managers
- Competent with ICT
- Able to manage staff effectively including staff issues in line with policy and procedures
- Experience of delivering high quality, personalised support within the Health and Social Care sector is essential, along with the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to deliver excellent, personalised support whilst maintaining a confident, professional, compassionate, and respectful outlook
- Having achieved a minimum of a level 4 diploma in adult care, including certificate in principles of leadership and management for adult care (or equivalent) or a commitment to undertake this qualification
- You will need to possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- To deliver the high-quality support both Advance and the people we support expect, this role requires you to work flexibly. This could include working some weekends, bank holidays, waking nights or sleep in duties, if required
- Please note a valid driver’s licence and access to own vehicle is desirable for this role
- Understanding of the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018 and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and understand the importance of confidentiality
