Looking for a brand new job with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? If you share our values and are based in or around Kelso and Coldstream we might have just the one for you!
We're on the lookout for a creative, proactive and positive individual with a great sense of humour to join our amazing #TeamSBCSKelso as a Support Practitioner on a part-time (35 hours per week), permanent basis.

The Role
You'll become part of a friendly and dedicated team who support a number of people who live in Kelso and Coldstream, with learning disabilities, Autism and acquired brain injuries.
As a Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in assisting the people we support with all aspects of daily living, including helping to prepare meals, providing personal care, shopping and domestic tasks. Our teams adopt a person-centred approach to provide the highest quality support to enable the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, with a focus on maintaining and improving independence.
The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same and the people we support have a wide range of interest including going swimming and out walking, watching sport, gaming, quizzes, going to the cinema along with doing arts and crafts. We'll be looking to you to be actively involved in their hobbies and support them to explore new interests. Your support will enable individuals to not only maintain their independence and continue to live in their own home; youll also help them to play an active part of their community too.
It would be great if you great if you had a driving licence but this isn't a deal breaker!

- A caring and compassionate attitude.
- The ability to work well in a team.
- Great communication and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

- Confidence in the use of computers
