Support Worker

Busy Bee Recruitment are currently working with a specialist social care company who specialise in providing care and support for young people in residential homes and semi-independent living services. We have a very exciting position for a Support Worker to join their friendly team in one of their homes based in Northampton.

As Support Worker for this 1-bed home, you will be caring for those with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties aged between 12 and 15, with the support of a strong team of care professionals.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Delivering high quality support and care tailored to the service users needs whilst promoting their dignity and independence
• Providing comfort and companion ship to those in your care
• Encouraging young people to get involved in fun social activities
• Undertaking observations on those in your care and documenting this as necessary in their care plans
• Attending appointments, social visits, and days out with those in your care
• Assisting with daily household tasks such as cooking and cleaning

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience working with young people
• Right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving license
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children in a professional setting
• Good communication skills written and verbal
• A passion for working and learning with children
• A confident, kind, and creative personality
