If you have worked with children and young people in children's homes, short breaks, SEN school and education, youth work or fostering, a job in children's residential care is for you.

Key details of the Support Worker job are

• Starting Salary up to £29k (£22,000-£23,000 Basic Salary + £5,000 - £6,000 Sleep ins on top)
• Shift pattern includes morning, evenings, weekends, sleep ins - requires flexibility
• Driving License is required due to young people needing transport
• No sponsorship is available for this post

We have an opportunity available for a Support Worker with a specialist company who specialises in providing high class care, trauma support, education and treatment to vulnerable children and young people.

This is a role where you will be working in a children's home directly with young people in the care system. You will support them in their growth, managing their past trauma, help them build positive relationships and experience in their world. This is a highly rewarding role but includes challenges such as aggressive behaviour, restraints, shift pattern including evenings, weekends and overnight sleeps.

Requirements of the Support Worker:

• Experience working in a residential home
• Ideally have a Level 3 in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete
• Willing to help the children with their emotional, physical, and developmental needs.
• Display yourself as an appropriate role model
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, empathy and resilience
