We have an opportunity available for a Support Worker with a specialist company who specialises in providing high class care, trauma support, education and treatment to vulnerable children and young people.
This is a role where you will be working in a children's home directly with young people in the care system. You will support them in their growth, managing their past trauma, help them build positive relationships and experience in their world. This is a highly rewarding role but includes challenges such as aggressive behaviour, restraints, shift pattern including evenings, weekends and overnight sleeps.
Requirements of the Support Worker:
- Experience working in a residential home
- Ideally have a Level 3 in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete
- Willing to help the children with their emotional, physical, and developmental needs.
- Display yourself as an appropriate role model
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, empathy and resilience
