Job Overview:
ASA Recruitment are expanding their team of talented and experienced Support Worker to join our team. As a crucial member of our care giving staff, you will provide personalized assistance and support to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. The ideal candidate is empathetic, adaptable, and committed to enhancing the overall well-being and independence of our clients.
Responsibilities:
Person Centered Care:
•Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
•Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients.
Comprehensive Home Support:
•Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing, to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
•Prepare nutritious meals, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
Medication Management:
•Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, following established protocols and maintaining accurate records.
•Monitor and report any changes in clients' health conditions promptly.
Companionship and Emotional Support:
•Foster meaningful and supportive relationships with clients through empathetic listening and engaging in social activities.
•Provide companionship to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Client Advocacy:
•Advocate for clients' needs and preferences, ensuring that their voices are heard and respected in the planning and delivery of care.
•Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to create a comprehensive care plan
Record Keeping:
•Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, care provided, and any relevant information.
•Communicate effectively with the care team, providing updates and insights into clients' well-being.
Job Requirements
•A Minimum of 6 months of previous UK experience in a similar role or relevant healthcare background is desirable.
•Valid RTW in the UK
•PVG for Adults – Update required through ASA
•A valid SSSC within 6 months of starting work with us
•Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Physical ability to assist with lifting and mobility as needed.
