Job Description
Job Title :- Support Worker
Reports to :- Senior Support Worker
The role involves working with Deaf adults with additional needsin their own homes.
You will be expected to support the individual with daily activities within the home and in the wider community, such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and social activities. This may include some degree of personal care. You will be asked to go on group or individual holidays.
Delivery of the support to is to be person centered to each individual, following their own personalised care plans and risk assessments. All necessary paperwork will be expected to be completed when on shift.
Experience in Health and Social care is preferred but not essential as training will be given
Must be able to communicate in BSL and written English clearly and effectively, work within a team and have a caring and supportive manner.
Person Specification
Experience Adult Social Care 1 year preferred, Working with deaf adults
Qualifications Level 2 NVQ Health & Social Care
Essential Skills- ability to work within a team and independently, good communication skills
