Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team, providing homes and comprehensive care for children and young people aged 8 – 17. Our service is Ofsted registered and focuses on supporting residents with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. This role is central to our mission of helping young people achieve their potential by creating opportunities, building resilience, and removing barriers to success.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Formulate and promote the aims and objectives of the service.
- Implement policies and procedures to achieve these aims and objectives.
- Manage staff and resources effectively to monitor progress towards the Home’s goals.
- Deputise for team leaders as directed by leaders and managers in their absence.
- Fulfil all professional responsibilities of the role, including activities outside of normal working hours such as professional development and company social events.
- Uphold public trust and maintain high standards of ethics, behaviour, and professional conduct.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with stakeholders and across the community.
- Serve in the best interests of the children and young people in our care.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role within a residential care setting.
- A strong understanding of the needs of children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Ability to work flexibly, including outside of normal working hours when necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining high standards of professional conduct.
- Ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
