Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

J is a 65 year old lady that has dysphagia and turner syndrome. She is also on a SALT plan but still enjoys her trip to Greggs for a mince pie and coffee. Josephine has a full schedule each week that includes exercise class, cookery class and her volunteer job at the British heart foundation. Josephine also is currently involved in the Rugby and lead the Scottish team out holding their flag. She loves helping in service and will help to do PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) count and carry files back to where they belong. Josephine will talk your ears off about Elvis and loves cats.

S is a 52 year old lady that has epilepsy which causes her to have Clonic-Tonic seizures.. She loves her music, wordsearches and trips out and especially enjoys a kebab every Friday with triple garlic sauce. She is currently learning life skills as she would like to live in her own place one day. Sharon is going to cookery and has a singing group in the works. Sharon will get close to staff and grab arms so MAPA is a must. She likes to go at her own pace and can't handle being told too much information or told what is happening too far in advance. Sharons likes to have a cuppa watching her soaps every night.

V is a 64 year old lady who is a Falls risk, in the past she has fractured her neck and collar bone. Vivien has epilepsy, osteopenia and diabetes mellitus type 2. Vivien leads a very active social life from going to cookery, visiting her three sisters and helping staff with the weekly shopping. She has a repetitive vocabulary and will mumble her words. Vivien will try to sneak crab sticks from the fridge if she is in a playful mood. Vivien has to be reminded to slow down when walking and to go to the toilet.
