Job Title: Male Support Worker
Location: Dunfermline, Scotland
Employer: Local Authority, in partnership with Randstad Care
Shift Pattern: Early Shifts (07:00 - 15:00) and Late Shifts (15:00 - 23:00), Monday to Sunday
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Male Support Worker to join our forensic service in Dunfermline. In collaboration with Randstad Care, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of 4 male service users with varying learning disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support to 4 male service users in their own homes and within the local community.
- Assist with daily activities, fostering independence and promoting social inclusion.
- Develop and implement person-centred support plans, tailored to the individual needs of each service user.
- Encourage participation in community-based activities and events.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of support provided.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of support work experience, specifically with service users having learning disabilities or autism.
- Ability to work effectively within a cluster service, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with mild learning disabilities.
- An understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern, including weekends.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in social care or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
