Your new opportunity

Quarriers Homelife Girvan are currently recruiting part time Support Workers to work within our adult services providing day-to-day support to over 38 individuals within South Ayrshire, covering Girvan and surrounding villages. The people we support can have different support needs and we deliver person-centred care to people who may be living with mental health needs, and/or physical/learning disabilities. The Service is aimed at supporting adults within the community to reach their potential and achieve personalised outcomes that are tailored to their needs.

As a Support Worker you will deliver care based on individual needs and focus on enabling the people we support achieve specific outcomes in:

• Daily Living Support
• Housing Support
• Support to Access Local Community
• Vocational Support within Educational Settings

To achieve these, we will work with each individual to develop an outcome based support plan, which will detail a person’s expected outcomes alongside a plan for achieving these.

What you will need to bring to the role

• Compassion and kindness to support people in their day to day lives.
• Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
• Able to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
• Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes.
• Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
• Good IT & communication skills.
• A full driving license is desirable.
