Support Worker
Location – Coed Parc, Port Talbot
Salary –11.25 - 11.80 per hour
Full Time: 21 hours per week with set shifts of Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

Orbis Education and Care are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our compassionate and energetic team at our Coed Parc House Home, and we want you to be part of our mission.
As a Support Worker at Coed Parc House, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our people, supporting their daily activities, additional needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a magnificent team including therapists and other Support Workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
A typical day will include:
- Provide personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning and social interactions.
- Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
- Implement individualised care plans, under the guidance of an incredibly supportive senior team.
- Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
- Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.
- A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
- A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
- A driving license would be very advantageous in this role as you will be required to transport residents to activities outside the home using a company vehicle.
- A fully paid Induction Training Programme, DBS and Education Workforce Council Registration.
