Empowering Learning is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Care Support Worker/Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant SEND school setting in East London. Our institution caters to children and young individuals aged 5-16 years with diverse SEND needs, including Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties, severe learning difficulties, and speech and language communication challenges.
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in care-based support, particularly in personal care, feeding, and handling. As a Care Support Worker/Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist pupils in their learning and care needs while at school.
Responsibilities:
Supporting children and young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities Providing or being willing to assist with personal care Employing excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students Possession of a valid DBS registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS Availability for a full-time commitment, 5 days a week, and capable of committing for at least 1-6 months Benefits:
