Are you and experienced Support Worker looking for a truly flexible full-time or part-time career within Children's Care? Read on, we've something ground-breaking to shout about.

Here at Kisimul we're dedicated to improving the lives of the children with Autism and learning difficulties that we support everyday.

We're excited to be opening a brand new Children's Home called 'Clann Dion' - a beautiful home located in Rand, just outside of Wragby, LN8.

We're also excited to launch our new flexible working contract. Our new contract will have no set shift pattern, you'll agree your 40 hours per week with your manager, at least 4 weeks ahead. You will elect to work either 5 x 8 hour shifts or 4 x 10 hour shifts per week across a variety of times and days to suit the needs of the business and the people we support - giving you the flexibility to strike a genuine work/life balance whilst pursuing a truly rewarding career at Kisimul. (Part-time shifts also available).

About the Role.

As a Support Worker/ Life Practitioner you’ll be an integral part of the team, teaching young people life skills in context and support them to integrate these skills. We’ll give you all the training you’ll need. You’ll contribute to and promote the development of young peoples’ communication, self-help, and independence skills - undertaking actions devised by other specialist colleagues, such as speech therapists and educational psychologists and providing feedback on sessions. Plus, support individuals with maintaining and improving their health and supporting emotional needs, always promoting increased independence. Support Workers participate in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational activities such as trips to the Safari Park, fun fairs or local restaurants.

Our new care model is ground breaking.

Meaningful life is our innovative new model – an industry first. Providing care and education to people we support is at the centre of all our decision making, with the ambition to enable them to fulfil their most meaningful life. We bring all our specialist teams together from education, therapies and care and put the people we support right in the centre of our family of experts to deliver a meaningful life.

About You.

If you have a background in care work, great, we’ll work with you to develop you to where you want to get to, however, you don’t need a background in care to become a Support Worker, just a caring approach and passion for helping others.

We offer flexible hours to suit your family life.

Days - 40hrs per week. Shifts either 5 x 8 hour shifts or 4 x 10 hour shifts (between 7.30am and finishing at 8.30pm). Part-Time shifts also available. Days/hours to be agreed with Manager.

Choose your career pathways and we’ll help build your skills to get you there.

Pay progression recognising your professional development and career progression.

Many of our senior leaders have been promoted from support roles and we’ve supported them along the way.

We’ll pay and support you to learn new skills and to pass your care diploma.

Pay transparency:

The Support Worker salary starts at £11.22 ph (Level 1) and goes up to £11.60 ph (Level 2), increasing to £12.80 ph (Level 3) depending on your experience and development. A decision will be made at interview to determine starting salary dependent on experience.
