Support Workers - West Berkshire Mencap
We proudly support 18 incredible adults with learning disabilities across three houses in the centre of Newbury. Each of our clients has their own private self-contained flat. They take part in creative group activities in the communal lounge, kitchen and grounds. Our amazing team of Support Workers love to take our clients out in the community for enjoyable days out, this might be for a birthday treat or out to an amusement park. Our dedicated staff provide 24-hour support helping our clients get ready for the day, go shopping, make lunches/tea, and get ready for bed, all to ensure our clients can make the most of their lives and most of all have fun.
We currently have vacancies that can work around your lifestyle for full-time, part-time, waking night and bank Support Workers, who are eager, flexible, conscientious and have a positive outlook towards supporting people with learning disabilities. We are also excited to provide free training.

Salary: Up to £24,382.80 per year
We are seeking applicants who are able to:
- Provide physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
- Providing emotional support for an individual.
- Support and help with health care needs, including routine checks or administrating medication.
- Encourage and support the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Teach life skills, such as shopping and using public transport.
