SalaryThis role is advertised at Grade 6 but due to external funding the successful candidate will be appointed at the top of Grade 7, (£28,770) via an honorarium until May 2026 and then will revert to Grade 6. Please contact Angela Proctor (Recruiting Manager) for further details.
REAL Employment is a Supported Employment service that aims to support adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities, autism into paid, sustainable employment. We match the job seekers interests and skills to a job they want.
The role will require an understanding of Supported Employment 5 Stage model, and “Place, Train and Sustain”.
Requirements for this job:
- Knowledge of REAL employment, how it functions and the routes into, and the opportunities available to vulnerable adults.
- Experience of working in a role that promotes employment and being solution focused.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written, verbally, including influencing and negotiation skills to build effective relationships with agencies and employers
- Have the ability to work effectively on own initiative, with minimal supervision.
- Proven experience of supporting or advocating for adults with learning disabilities or vulnerable groups
You will be required to work flexible hours, possibly including occasional evenings and you may also be required to travel to various locations in order to carry out the duties of the job.
