The role
We are recruiting for a full-time support worker. This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week, 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday. This role is based at our new service in Ashford, Surrey which accommodates 31 single homeless individuals with varying and/or complex needs.
The post-holder will be responsible for supporting with tenancy sustainment, maximizing income through employment, or by managing successful access to benefits. You will be responsible for connecting tenants to services and activities that will enable them to thrive.
To be successful, you must have experience of key working a case load of adults experiencing homelessness and presenting with complex needs/dual diagnosis. You must also have some experience of working with adults experiencing significant disadvantage, such as ex-offenders or clients with substance misuse, mental health or homeless-related needs, or a combination of these client groups. You will be proficient in conducting risk assessments, have sound working knowledge of safeguarding legislation, including professional boundaries. You must be non-judgmental, able to demonstrate what good support looks like and engage positively with customers. Lived experience of homelessness is also desirable.

To meet our commitment to providing safe, high-quality services to our customers we will complete an enhanced background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, which will include a check of the Enhanced Adult & Child Barred list once an offer of employment is made. A new check will be completed every three years.
