Concern Worldwide (UK) is looking for a permanent Supporter Development & Legacies Manager to join the Public Fundraising Team in the Belfast office on a 1 year fixed term contract. Places prone to conflict, natural disasters, climate change, and extreme hunger.About the role:The Supporter Development and Legacies Manager will lead a team to deliver an integrated marketing programme across Public Fundraising to retain, develop and engage existing and lapsed regular givers, cash donors, alternative gift purchasers, legacy pledgers, event participants and volunteers. In 2023 the Supporter Development and Legacies Programme has an expenditure of £550,000 and income of £3.7M (plus emergency appeals).About You:Essential• Experience in a direct marketing environment which demonstrates the skills and attributes to contribute effectively to the department understanding practices and principles• Experience of working in an individual giving team• Broad experience of Supporter Development fundraising strategies and techniques including cash appeals, newsletters and email marketing.• Experience of legacy fundraising• Line management experience• Experience of developing product or programme strategies and budgets• Demonstrable analytical skills and highly numerate with experience of keeping and monitoring financial & budgeting reports.• Experience of using a fundraising database for effective analysis of direct marketing campaigns and trend giving patterns, comfortable developing lifetime value reports, analysing donor income• Experience of working with external suppliers to deliver successful direct marketing campaigns• Excellent planning and project management skills, and evidence of prioritising across a range of disciplines• Ability to work on own initiative• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.• Excellent written skills including experience of writing and commenting on fundraising copy• Excellent organisation skills and experience of managing a varied workload• Excellent attention to detail• Excellent understanding of delivering excellent customer service/donor care• Knowledge of data protection legislation linked to Direct MarketingDesirable• Experience of growing income through email marketing• Experience of working with overseas teams• New product and proposition development, ideally in a fundraising environment• Experience of working in a marketing context across different regions• Experience of delivering emergency appeals• Experience of holding budgets• Experience of team management or managing multiple line reports• Experience of volunteer management and community fundraising• Experience of setting up new donor journeys• Experience of using "next best action" style data selection, or selecting donors on principles other than RVFEquality, Diversity, and Inclusion:Concern Worldwide encourages all qualified candidates, irrespective of gender, ethnicity and origin, disability, political beliefs, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status to apply to become a part of the organization.
