Job description

Surveying and Site Monitoring Manager, based North Wales, this is a permanent, salaried career opportunity for an experienced candidate who can demonstrate a robust understanding of setting out and deformation monitoring of civils works within the tunnelling/underground excavation sectors. This post offers a salary of £65k-£75K plus car/car allowance, 25 days holiday, bank holidays, enhanced pension scheme and an attractive on-site accommodation subsidy, including meal allowance and paid expenses. Ideally educated with a Surveying Engineering Degree, this post seeks a minimum of 5 years previous, relevant experience.

Reporting to the site Engineering and Risk manager, you are required to live on-site Monday to Thursday, living within a 2.5-hour travel time from the site to ensure feasibility of weekend home leave. You will be responsible for the overall project requirements in geodetic Surveying and deformation monitoring. Overseeing planning, evaluation, monitoring and surveying of the project site, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal requirements and industry standards all play a key role in the wider job requirements.

As Surveying and Site Monitoring Manager, you will lead the projects survey and monitoring team/ department, the Surveying and monitoring works on surface, at shafts and in tunnels. Identify performance indicators; developing quality assurance strategies to ensure compliance with the project's requirements, providing guidance to support team members to contribute a clear view for delivering design, management, and engineering. To manage the supply chain framework and drive the performance and relationship management between key client representatives, sub-contractors, and all other employees.

You will have proven skills and expertise in civils/site Health and Safety requirements, be able to identify certain risks and assess compliance for all concerned. Having previous experience when recruiting staff, conducting performance reviews and administering necessary site training would be a great advantage.
