The Opportunity: Level 7 Sustainability Apprenticeship

Start Date: September 2024

Minimum Entry Criteria: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering). Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact.


What is a Sustainability Apprenticeship like:

Join JCB, a leading global manufacturer of construction equipment, as a Level 7 Sustainability Masters Apprentice. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to combine academic learning with practical experience in the field of sustainability within the manufacturing industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining valuable insight and contributing to innovative sustainability initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on sustainability practices, regulations, and trends to support decision-making processes within the organization.

2. Strategy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives aligned with JCB's business objectives and industry standards.

3. Data Management: Collect, analyze, and manage data related to environmental impact, energy consumption, waste management, and other sustainability metrics.

4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to promote sustainability awareness, drive engagement, and foster positive relationships.

5. Project Management: Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of sustainability projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

6. Reporting and Compliance: Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate sustainability performance, compliance with regulations, and progress towards goals.

7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sustainability practices, processes, and technologies, and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.

8. Training and Development: Participate in training programs, workshops, and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in sustainability and related areas.
