Sustainability Officer

This Sustainability Officer role seeks an individual who is passionate about reducing environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices. Based in Loughborough, this position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the FM & Estates department of a large not-for-profit organisation.

Description

• Implement and manage sustainable practices across the organisation
• Work alongside all departments to minimise environmental impact
• Coordinate sustainability training for staff and volunteers
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives
• Stay updated on relevant environmental legislation and ensure compliance
• Maintain positive relationships with external sustainability partners
• Contribute to the development of the organisation's sustainability strategy
• Represent the organisation at sustainability events and conferences

Profile

A successful Sustainability Officer should have:

• A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field
• Experience in managing sustainability initiatives
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation
• Experience in delivering sustainability training
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with various departments and external partners
• Passion for promoting sustainable practices and making a positive impact
