Job description

About Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales

We are a leading sustainable development charity based in Cardiff, working across Wales and the UK. Since 2002, we have been supporting organisations from across the public, private and third sector to turn sustainability aims into action.

Through the provision of advice, training and enabling connections, our team of sustainability specialists work to accelerate progress towards a low carbon economy, a thriving natural environment and a fair and just society.

We are the official partner of the Carbon Literacy Project in Wales, the founder of Nature Wise eco-literacy training and the real Living Wage accreditation partner in Wales.

We run a suite of courses on different aspects of sustainability, often tailored to the specific needs of an area, sector or organisation, and always with the aim of enabling action. We also provide open training courses that attract attendees from a wide range of backgrounds. Delivery is usually online but can be face to face. We also run workshops and provide self-directed e-learning.

The Role

Due to a growing demand for our courses, we now want to add a dedicated trainer to our dynamic team. We are looking for a skilled communicator able to explain complex ideas to a variety of adult audiences. You will have a sound knowledge of sustainability legislation and practise and be able to articulate this in a way that inspires the confidence to act. You will also be able to build trust with clients and training attendees through understanding their concerns and anticipating their needs. It is a bonus if you have also previously worked with young adults in the 18 - 25 age group.

Most of the training will be delivered online but you will be required to travel to Cardiff and other locations in Wales and the UK to deliver training face to face.
