Join the world-leading Environmental Sustainability team at the University of Oxford as a Laboratory Sustainability Coordinator. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the university's commitment to sustainability by managing this academic year’s LEAF (Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework) submissions and audit process.
This role is for 12 weeks full-time and paying £15.60 p/hr
Duties:
- Quickly familiarize yourself with LEAF operations, laboratory sustainability practices, and auditing procedures.
- Engage LEAF users proactively through emails and MS Teams posts, ensuring awareness of deadlines and audit processes.
- Organize and facilitate peer-to-peer audits post-submission, ensuring compliance within provided deadlines. Independently conduct audits where necessary.
- Review all submissions and audits, providing constructive feedback for improvement where needed, aiding in successful certification.
- Maintain updated records of all LEAF users and auditors.
- Assist in organising the Green Impact and LEAF end-of-year celebration event under the guidance of the Environmental Sustainability Programme Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a Laboratory environment
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
- Organised approach
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Proactive team player willing to support colleagues and undertake additional duties when necessary
