This is an exciting and unique assignment for an experienced Social Worker to take on a Non Case Holding post as a part of the Local Authorities Social Work Academy to help support the development of ASYE's and wider Social Work Practice.
Highlights:

- You will be working with ASYE's to help support them through their 1st year as well as supporting wider Social Work Practice in the Local Authority
- This is a specialist post where you will not be required to carry a case load
- You will be working closely with the Principal Social Worker and Workforce Development team to support developments in practice.
- This is a [predomintanlty home based role with some travel into the office for the occasional meeting offering a high degree of autonomy
This is an exciting new post which give experienced Social Workers the opportunity to use their experience in a different capacity which is more focused around developing practice rather than working directly with service users. As such hours of work are generally fixed as you wont be holding a case load and therefore will not be required to do visits.
The post sits within the Local Authorities Social Work Academy which has been developed to help drive improvements in practice whilst also providing Social Workers with a resource that they are able to access to ensure that they remain on top of their practice so they are able to provide their service users with the best service.
The role will see you work with ASYE's to help support them through their 1st year but you will also be working closely with the Principal Social Worker and the workforce development team to help identify any areas of training and support with any broader practice development strategies.
To be considered for this post you should have experience of supporting and developing Newly Qualified Social Workers and have completed your PEPs
