Job description

At Claires Court, we are looking for a creative and experienced Swimming Coach to work with our Junior School. As a Swimming Teacher, you would be responsible for coaching swimming with children from Early Years to Key Stage 2.

The Role:

As a qualified Swimming Coach, you will have experience in planning and delivering lessons for the short and long term with children of varying abilities.

This is a permanent part-time role working for approximately 25 hours per week. This year's timetable is likely to be between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday (1 pm to 4 pm on a Friday)

To be successful in this role, you must be:-

  • Qualified as a level 2 swimming coach
  • Experienced through working in a similar role
  • Experienced at developing a coaching strategy in line with best practice
  • Patient, with the ability to inspire confidence and respect
  • Able to build excellent working relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Be competent setting expectations and managing pupil behaviour consistently and proportionally. In a swimming pool environment this is especially important to us
  • Engaged with the School's ethos, thinking creatively and reflectively within an open, honest and hardworking team.
