Job description

Role: Disclosure Researcher

Department: Performance & Governance

Location:  Carbrook, Sheffield

Salary: £23,121 - £24,921

Hours: 37       

Contract Type: Permanent

An exciting new role has come available within South Yorkshire Police to research data held on the Police National computer and Local Police Systems on behalf of the Disclosure and Barring Service to provide relevant information to potential employers. 

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Interrogating, researching, collating and evaluating information sourced from police systems
  • Updating relevant systems
  • Receiving and recording all enquiries from both internal and external partners
  • Liaising with Force Departments/Districts, other Police Forces, Government Agencies, and other Outside Agencies

Skills and experience:

  • Proven ability in the use of window-based computer systems, including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Current experience of working within an administration environment
  • Current experience of achieving targets and working towards Service Level Agreements & deadlines
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
