Job description

Role: Enquiry Desk Assistant

District: Doncaster

Location: Doncaster

Salary: £23,121 - £24,921 (plus 12.5% shift allowance & weekend working allowance)

Hours: 16 hrs per week

Contract Type: Temporary for 12 months

As an Enquiry Desk Assistant, you will:

  • Deal with enquiries from member of the public either face to face at the counter or indirectly over the telephone.
  • Complete and process the necessary documentation relating to enquiries either by inputting onto the computer system or detailing information on a specific form, complying with legislation and policy at all times.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Work as part of a large team.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience of dealing with face-to-face enquiries from members of the public.
  • Experience of using computer packages including MS Word, Excel
  • Able to work shifts and weekends
  • Ability to travel and work at different sites

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria, which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 3 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
