Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Business Transformation team with the Housing Services division to manage the ongoing maintenance and development of IT Systems to support the ongoing business improvements.
Systems Development Officer
Salary: Grade G - £33,945 (level one) rising to £36,648 (level four)
2 permanent positions available
37 hours, Monday - Friday
Based at Loxley House, but some Hybrid working available

From the creation of new, affordable housing and the upkeep of existing properties, through to improving the opportunities and employability of our tenants, Nottingham City Council Housing Services provides ongoing support to the people and communities of Nottingham, creating homes and places where people want to live!
Role and Responsibilities:

Provide knowledge, expertise and support for our key business applications, managing the business applications lifecycle including custom developed, as well as corporate-wide or specialist applications.
Support the overall application's architecture and delivery to enable IT transformative change and promote ICT as an enabler for business change.
Provide subject matter guidance alongside business knowledge on how applications can be optimised to drive business change.
Engage with various departments across the business to ensure a joined up service and to deliver training for the company as and when required
Offer expertise and business knowledge on optimising applications to drive change within the organisation.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience across technology including operating systems, databases, applications, web, integration and how it can serve to deliver business change.
Knowledge and understanding of working with Housing management systems; ideally NEC Housing.
Ability to utilise Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Visio).
Relevant qualification in ICT and/or relevant experience commensurate to the role
Evidence of commitment to Continuing Professional Development
