£40,000 - £45,000 & bonus Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.

Joining an established Company in the Insurance Underwriting sector. Industry experience is preferred, as is a background in software development, analysis or software vendor. Role focus is to support Underwriters and the IT Team in delivering software solutions around Insurance Binding Authorities.

Reporting to the Operations Manager the role works with Underwriters and the IT Team to deliver software solutions around Insurance Binding Authorities. The ability to estimate costs and present solutions is essential. The role includes Analysis and Configuration. SQL is essential to enable this.

Responsibilities include:

Configuring Insurance system to meet binder specifications

Creation of Documentation and MIS reports using report builder tools such as Crystal and MS Report Builder

Build SQL queries and use SQL to report on and modify databases

Translate Binder and Underwriter requirements into project documents

Draw up proposals , and present proposals and solutions to Underwriters

Draw up schedule for testing schedules for product / model testing

Responsibility for implementation of projects to deadlines

Writing user manuals and training

Knowledge / experience required to be successful in the role includes SQL, Insurance industry experience and good knowledge of Database applications including design methods and approaches.
