Our Priorities are to ensure GW meets its customer SLA’s by ensuring all IT Services are fit for purpose and to be ever improving. Where possible IT will be implementing initiatives to aid in GW’s operational efficiencies all while delivering at pace.
Our future plans will include implementation of a new ERP System, New Global Warehouse Solution, IT Security strategy and various other projects, whilst optimising and improving the IT Services we provide.
Main duties and accountabilities will include Development and Coding where you will produce high quality code and packages that meet project requirements, implementing functionality according to the agreed standards. Fostering a collaborative environment, you will review and provide constructive feedback on code from other developers whilst contributing to technical documentation for both internal and external use. Being an expert in your field you will participate in agile development practices such as reviews and stand up meetings ensuring that all parties are aligned and working towards the same goal enabling requirements and design reviews are well defined.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud architecture with an understanding of business processes and how these are implemented at a code level. You will have good knowledge in Azure Development & Azure Integration Stack, inc. Service Bus, Event Grid, Logic Apps, and API Management alongside a Knowledge of C# and VB.net. You will also create and effectively manage Web Services (RESTful and SOAP), XML, XSD and XSLT, JSON and the ability to apply common cloud design patterns. Biztalk would also be a desirable skillset.
You will have the ability to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical users, and able to translate non-technical user requirements into clear and concise technical specifications with the capacity to handle multiple concurrent tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and adjust quickly to manage priorities
