Joining an established Company in the Insurance Underwriting sector. This role involves the development of key business systems to support Underwriters and the IT Team in delivering software solutions

Reporting to the Operations Manager the role works with Underwriters and the IT Team to deliver software solutions. The ability to estimate costs and present solutions is essential. The role includes Analysis and Configuration. SQL is essential to enable this.

Responsibilities include:

Configuring Insurance system to meet specifications

Creation of Documentation and MIS reports using report builder tools such as Crystal and MS Report Builder

Build SQL queries and use SQL to report on and modify databases

Translate Binder and Underwriter requirements into project documents

Draw up proposals , and present proposals and solutions to Underwriters

Draw up schedule for testing schedules for product / model testing

Responsibility for implementation of projects to deadlines

Writing user manuals and training
