Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integration and Design Engineer to work with an innovative engineering business, working within the realms of electric vehicles/powertrain technology, covering everything from passenger cars and motorsport, through to off-highway vehicles.
You'll be joining a small but experienced team and will involve technical design and development, with the potential for taking on project and team leadership responsibilities depending on our experience level.
You'll be very hands-on with technical design and development and will include various aspects of EV electronic system design and integration, covering the full lifecycle of engineering.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and implement vehicle Systems Integration solutions
- Vehicle level system architecture design
- HV/LV & communication systems design
- Safety analysis
- Conduct testing and validation of systems to ensure requirements are met
- Testing, calibration and validation
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in cross-functional project teams
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and industry trends
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Good knowledge of various EV systems and components
- Strong understanding of protocols such as CAN/LIN and associated tools
- Wiring loom layout and Design knowledge
- Vehicle/electronic Systems Integration, testing and validation
- Good understanding of overall vehicle architecture and systems
DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL)
- Hands-on build and repair of looms
- FMEA, DFMEA, HazOp, etc
- MATLAB/Simulink
- ISO26262 knowledge
- Simulation/modelling
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
