IT System Support Technician - Peterborough - £23,000 - £27,000
Join my clients' dynamic IT support team and play a crucial role in assisting staff with their IT needs. As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for resolving helpdesk tickets and escalating complex issues to senior team members. In addition, occasional site visits to other offices will be necessary, so a valid driving license and access to a car are essential.
Your main duties will include, but are not limited to, providing support and maintenance in the following areas. While experience in all of these areas is not required, we offer training and development opportunities to help you grow in your role
Experience with the below technologies would be beneficial but aren't essential:
* Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012-2019
* Deployment of iPhone and Android phones
* Virtual machines, such as RDS hosts and virtual servers
* Office 365 cloud service management
* Maintenance and support of Exchange Server
* Active Directory and group policy management
* Management and support of VOIP telephone systems
* Providing helpdesk support to users and escalating issues when necessary
* Phone system user management
* Installation and relocation of equipment
* Configuration and setup of new IT hardware and equipment
* Site visits to other office locations as required
* Creation of new user accounts and setup of associated access and programs

You will work under the guidance of the IT Manager, reporting directly to them. The team consists of four other skilled support staff members, and you may occasionally collaborate with our software development team as needed.
