Axcis education are seeking a Teaching Assistant in St Helens, where you'll have the opportunity to make a profound impact in the lives of children with diverse needs. The school prides itself on its commitment to inclusive education, providing comprehensive support for students across the primary spectrum with a particular emphasis on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a crucial member of the team, you'll be instrumental in supporting mainstream education while catering to an extensive SEND provision. Your role will encompass working closely with students across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) who may have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), exhibit challenging behaviours, experience Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH), or require assistance with non-verbal communication. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experienced educators, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported. Your responsibilities will include providing one-on-one and group support, adapting teaching materials to meet individual needs, assisting with behaviour management strategies, and fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere conducive to learning and growth. We're looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with diverse needs, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate patience, resilience, and adaptability in challenging situations. Experience supporting children or adults worth SEMH, Challenging behaviour is essential. We are looking for candidates who are able to commit to full time work Monday to Friday 8:30- 3:30.
