Form of workWe require an articulate, self-starting Data Engineer with experience working within a financial services environment (Front Office, Middle Office, Finance, Risk, Treasury). The successful candidate should have 5+ years' experience and have previously held similar, mid level positions in FS industry organisations, although we will consider candidates with exceptional experience from other industries. (fintech, telco etc)
- Ability to navigate complex datasets, using proven frameworks and processes
- Ability to work dynamically with key stakeholders, and demonstrate progress against a plan
- Ability to manage and sequence workloads and delivery as part of a wider team
- Ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders as part of the discovery activities, and steering in terms of progress reporting
- Ability to create artefacts that reflect study and proposals
- Design: Strong design skills - working in green field and evolved technology estates
- An integrated part of the technology team, with particular emphasis on working alongside DBA's
- Work as part of a wider team and display a can do attitude
Responsibilities:
- Tableau deployment and data model and dashboard design
- Setting up new instance of Tableau Cloud working with Networks teams to connect to multi-cloud environments
- Managing Identity Access Management, Permissions and policies (and sync'ing with Snowflake)
- Data modelling and integration from various data sources into a Tableau data model
- Working directly with end users to iteratively build dashboards, metrics, indicators, and apply good practice Tableau User Experience, navigation, aesthetic design
- Creating Artefacts pertaining to solution sustainability - documentation, support and maintenance guidance
