The International Talent and Learning & Development lead will be responsible for developing and executing the talent strategy for the EMEA and APAC regions in support of regional strategy and the line of business goals and encompassing the full journey of employees through onboarding, training, upskilling, promotions, to improve business performance and accomplish organizational goals.
With a dual reporting line into the Head of HR for International and the Group Head of Talent for CIB, the role holder will provide horizontal leadership across the global talent
- Partner closely with the regional HR and business leaders to identify, define and prioritize current and future international talent needs to support regional strategy and business objectives.
- Deliver effective talent strategies, solutions and initiatives across International, while considering regional differences.
- Influence and drive an integrated talent strategy and effectively manage and align resources at the regional level across all the Talent functions including Learning & Development, Org Effectiveness, and Talent Planning and all other HR COEs.
- Collaborates with global HR partners to identify and leverage SMEs to execute a robust and innovative talent strategy with appropriate focus on regional and global effectiveness, expense management and meeting regulatory expectations.
- Work closely with regional HR Leads and the Individual Accountability & Conduct team to embed a strategy as it relates to the onboarding and development of our Senior Management population in EMEA.
- Lead or participate in implementation and management of programs, processes, guidelines, tools, and instruments that support core operations and initiatives such as, career planning and development, talent planning, succession planning and development, individual engagement and team effectiveness, diversity, inclusion, and culture for a line of business or the company.
- Resolve moderately complex issues to meet project deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements unique to the International businesses.
- Lead day to day project tasks and complex people development initiatives, managing implementation of development strategies and solutions.
- Identify opportunities to align approaches and consult on business needs while integrating diversity and inclusion into talent strategies.
- Recognize interpersonal and group dynamics, understand implications of conflict, supports change, and uses root cause analysis to evaluate areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with clients and to integrate and align initiatives to close the gap between current and desired future state.
- Influence diversity and inclusion scorecard metrics and coaching behaviors that drive progress toward individual, marketplace and advocacy goals.
- Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

- Experience in Talent Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- A seasoned Talent professional with significant experience in one, or a combination of the following: , talent planning, learning and development or human resources consulting.
- Experience managing a large global talent organisation
- Demonstrate thought leadership in the areas of talent acquisition, Learning & Development, talent planning and/or organisational effectiveness.
- Excellent relationship management, consulting and influencing skills, with a proven ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
- Ability to understand and operate in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Strong decision making and strategic thinking skills.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment and implications from a talent perspective
