Job Title: Tax Associate Solicitor
Location: Liverpool, Merseyside (Hybrid Working)
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Associate Tax Solicitor to join our client's dynamic team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing expert tax advice and support across the firm, with a focus on the corporate, real estate, and private client teams. Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist tax advice and support to colleagues across the firm, with a particular focus on the corporate, real estate, and private client teams.
- Assist with tax planning and structuring for corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and financing arrangements.
- Advise on tax implications and considerations relating to property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and development projects.
- Support the private client team with tax planning strategies, inheritance tax planning, and trust administration matters.
- Conduct research and analysis on complex tax issues, staying updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and external advisors to deliver innovative and effective tax solutions to clients.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years of PQE in tax law, with experience advising clients on corporate, real estate, and private client tax matters.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax law, particularly VAT, corporate tax, property tax, and personal tax planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on delivering practical and commercially viable tax solutions.
- Membership of the Law Society of England and Wales (or equivalent qualification) is essential.
