Our client are searching for a professional Tax Enquiry Consultant with a flair for delivering solutions to complex tax matters. You will manage a case load of insured and uninsured direct tax compliance cases as well providing written consultancy reports. This role is field-based, so you will be out meeting a diverse client base across Top-100 firms, and Sole Practitioners.

Our client are a multi-award winning business in the Leicestershire region. They are seeking a Tax professional to join their team of over 30 advisors and consultants.
You will work within a team environment with opportunities to earn consultancy commission and generate cross referrals for the business.
Description
- To manage a caseload of insured and uninsured direct tax compliance cases, as well as providing written consultancy reports, and to oversee internal compliance, including anti-money laundering regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge of all areas of Direct Tax, including staying updated with relevant legislation and legal developments.
- Attending Alternative Dispute Resolution meetings.
- Arranging and managing cases related to Tribunal hearings (providing representation at tribunals depends on experience).
- Working within a team of Tax & Enquiries Consultants.
- Conducting in-depth research, producing assignments, and preparing reports for clients.
- Offering technical and tactical support to our clients (accountants and tax agents).
- Drafting letters to HMRC on behalf of clients and preparing technical opinions as needed.
- Taking full case management responsibility, including liaising with HMRC to conclude Direct Tax Enquiry cases.
- Reviewing reports and offering second opinions as required.
- Providing content to the marketing team to promote our services.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general Tax, gained through experience in practice, industry, or HMRC, and preferably specialise in HMRC Enquiry work. Candidates with a background in practice or HMRC (ideally Grade 7 or above) are preferred, although they will consider those qualified by experience.
