Tax Manager - Global Bank

A Global Banking group are looking for a Tax Manager to join their in-house tax team. As a pivotal part of the established tax function, you'll oversee both UK and overseas tax compliance, accounting, reporting, and engage in advisory projects.

Your primary duties encompass:

1. Managing quarterly tax provisioning calculations for HO Group reporting.
2. Actively interact with tax authorities, ensuring a comprehensive approach to tax-related responsibilities.
3. Overseeing year-end tax reporting, journal entries, Head Office tax reporting, and addressing tax audit queries from external auditors.
4. Supervising the in-house tax reporting software and excel-based tax packs.
5. Spearheading the preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns
6. Providing support for the preparation and submission of R&D claims.
7. Taking charge of tax payment calculations
8. Leading relationships with external advisers, auditors, HMRC, and senior stakeholders on CIT, submissions, and payments.
9. Engaging in broader areas like transfer pricing

Desired qualifications:

• ACA/CTA or equivalent certification
• Robust tax accounting expertise
• Demonstrated experience in corporate tax reporting, UK tax computations, and return preparation is essential
• Preferred experience in the financial services/banking sector is advantageous
