About the Role Harrogate College are recruiting for an Creative Arts Teacher to join our team. This role will be based in our Art & Design Studio with high spec, industry standard resources. You will be be working and teaching students up to and including level 3. We are looking for a candidate who is committed, organised and passionate about the Creative industries and passing on their knowledge to others. The right candidate may already have experience in a teaching role but we also welcome applications from candidates that have industry experience and are looking to move into a teaching career. For the right candidate we will fully support you to complete your teaching qualifications. What You Will Do You will join the team in teaching the Arts provision at the college ensuring that all learners are fully supported to achieve their potential and progress onto further study or employment. The role involves all aspects of teaching, including the preparation of resources, delivery, marking and assessing along with fundamentals linked to supporting students in a pastoral context as well as ensuring the safety of all. You will also be required to track progress and provide appropriate student interventions as required. You will also be involved in the recruitment and interviewing of students to populate your course for the following year. About You We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the necessary enthusiasm and skill to communicate at all levels. Knowledge and experience in the creative industry across a range of disciplines is essential.  Experience in education is desirable but we are happy to consider applicants that have non-teaching backgrounds but must be willing to work towards appropriate qualifications. The right candidate will demonstrate the ability to work within our values and demonstrate a commitment to personal professional development as well as having a natural desire to support the students, curriculum and college.
